Privacy Policy
Effective date: 4 October 2026 · Applies to the Trident iPhone app and this website
1. Who we are
Trident is an iPhone app, and this website, run by Rohit Narayan, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as “Trident” (“Trident”, “we”, “us”). Our address is 42 Rectory Way, Ickenham, Uxbridge UB10 8BS, United Kingdom.
For any personal data that does reach us (see section 4), we are the “controller” under UK data protection law. You can contact us at info@tridentfit.app or through our contact page.
2. What Trident is, and how it handles data
Trident curates Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates routines from free online creators and lets you save routines, build 7-Day Plans, set reminders and import links you already follow. It is designed so that your information stays with you:
- There is no sign-in and no account. We never ask for your name, email or phone number in the app.
- There are no advertising or analytics tools, and no tracking identifiers.
- Trident does not run a server that receives or stores your data. Everything you create in the app is stored on your device and, if iCloud is turned on for Trident, synced between your own devices through your private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit). Apple operates that service. We cannot access it.
3. Information stored on your device and in your iCloud
The following is stored only on your device and in your own private iCloud storage. We do not receive, access or hold any of it:
| Information | What it is | Where it lives | Do we receive it? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saved routines and favourites | Routines you bookmark or mark as favourites | Your device and your private iCloud | No |
| 7-Day Plans and reminders | Plan names, start dates, routines assigned to days, reminder times | Your device and your private iCloud (reminders are local notifications on your device) | No |
| Goals | Optional goals you choose, such as “Improve Balance” or “Better Sleep” | Your device and your private iCloud | No |
| Practice log | Which saved routines you have marked as practised | Your device and your private iCloud | No |
| Imported links | A link you paste or share into Trident, the platform and creator name read from the link text, and any short description you add | Your device and your private iCloud | No |
| Age confirmation | Your answer to the 18+ age gate | Your device only | No |
Goals and practice log. Information about your wellbeing goals and exercise habits can reveal things about your health. Because this information stays on your device and in your own iCloud, and is never sent to us or to anyone else by Trident, we do not collect or process it as health data. Trident does not use Apple Health (HealthKit) and does not read any health data from your device.
Goal matching is not profiling. If you choose goals, Trident simply sorts matching routines to the top using fixed rules on your device. It does not use artificial intelligence, and no decisions are made about you.
Importing links. When you paste a link or share a post to Trident, the app reads the platform and creator handle from the text of the link only. It does not contact the platform or download the post, its image or any metadata. Only the link and the short description you add are kept.
4. Information that can reach us
Apart from the app, the only personal data we may receive is when you choose to get in touch, or when you visit this website:
- When you contact us by email or through the contact form on this website, we receive the details you give us (such as your name, email address and message). We use them only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. We keep them for 12 months after the conversation ends, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered by our email provider, Resend (Resend, Inc.), which acts as our processor and handles your details only on our instructions.
- When you visit this website, our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in standard server logs. We use this only to deliver and secure the site. We do not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking scripts on this website, and we do not set cookies that need your consent.
Our lawful bases (UK and EU GDPR). We answer your enquiries on the basis of our legitimate interests in running and supporting Trident and, where you have asked about your subscription, to take steps you ask of us. We keep website server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working. We do not rely on consent for any processing, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
5. Payments and Apple
Trident Plus is bought entirely through Apple (StoreKit). Apple handles payment, the free trial, renewal, cancellation and refund requests. We never see or store your card or payment details, and we do not receive your Apple ID or your name. Apple acts as an independent controller of that information under its own privacy policy. The same applies to iCloud: Apple provides it, and you manage it in your iPhone settings.
6. Opening routines on other apps and websites
Trident does not play videos. When you tap “Open” on a routine, Trident asks your iPhone to open the link in the relevant app (for example the YouTube or Instagram app) if you have it installed, and otherwise in your default browser. From that moment you are using a third party's service, and its privacy policy and terms apply, including anything it collects about you. Trident is not told what you do there. Trident is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the creators or platforms whose content it links to.
7. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles. As Trident holds no personal data about you in the app, there is nothing to share from it. The only parties that may handle personal data in connection with Trident are:
- Apple, for purchases, iCloud sync and the App Store, as described above;
- Vercel Inc., which hosts this website;
- Resend, Inc., which delivers messages sent through the contact form; and
- professional advisers, law enforcement or regulators, only where we are legally required to disclose information.
8. International transfers
We are based in the UK. Our website host and any form provider may process limited information (such as IP addresses and the messages you send) in countries outside the UK and European Economic Area, including the United States. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Data in your iCloud is handled by Apple under Apple's own terms.
9. How long we keep information, and deleting it
- In the app: your data stays until you delete it. Deleting the app removes the data on that device. Copies in your private iCloud can be removed in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage on your iPhone.
- Exports: Trident lets you export your data as a file. That file is yours, is not sent to us, and you are responsible for keeping it safe.
- Messages to us: kept as set out in section 4.
- Website logs: kept by our host for a short, rolling period set by Vercel.
10. Security
Your Trident data is protected by the security of your iPhone (such as your passcode and device encryption) and Apple's iCloud security. This website is served over HTTPS. We limit the personal data we can receive to what you choose to send us. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your device and Apple ID secure.
11. Your rights
United Kingdom and European Economic Area
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to: be informed about how your data is used; access it; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to its use; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent where we rely on it. To use these rights for personal data we hold (for example, a message you sent us), contact info@tridentfit.app. We will reply within one month and will not charge a fee unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive. For the data in the app, you already have full control: you can view, change, export or delete it yourself.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113). If you are in the EU/EEA you may complain to the authority in your country of residence. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
Canada
If you are in Canada, we handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws (including Quebec's Law 25, Alberta's PIPA and British Columbia's PIPA). You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent, and ask questions about our practices by contacting info@tridentfit.app; the person responsible for privacy at Trident is Rohit Narayan. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or your provincial regulator. Trident is currently provided in English only.
United States
Some US states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and others, give residents rights over their personal information, such as the right to know what is collected, to access, correct and delete it, and to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising. In the last 12 months we have:
- not sold or shared personal information, and not used it for targeted advertising;
- not collected sensitive personal information or consumer health data through the app;
- collected only what you choose to send us when you contact us, as described in section 4.
You can exercise any of these rights, and appeal a decision, by contacting info@tridentfit.app. We will not discriminate against you for doing so. Because we do not track you, there is nothing to opt out of; where your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, we respect it by default because we do not track anyone. Health-related information you enter into Trident (such as goals) stays on your device and iCloud, and we do not receive it. Washington, Nevada and similar consumer health data laws therefore do not require us to take additional steps.
12. Children
Trident is for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. The app shows an age gate on first launch and stores your answer only on your device. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a young person has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Health disclaimer
Trident provides links to third-party exercise content for general fitness and wellbeing purposes only. Nothing in this app constitutes medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise programme.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell you in the app or on this website before they take effect. If we ever decide to collect new kinds of information, we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.
15. Contact us
